A true worshiper, psalmist and songwriter, Stephen B. Steward, shares his ministry and the power of Praise and Worship with the release of his new singles Sing Alleluia and Jesus Reign.  Born and raised in Smithville, Mississippi where praise and worship was almost considered a first language, Stephen was a witness to its healing and delivering power. Through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, he has written over 200 worship songs and hymns. His vision for these songs is to edify God in praise and worship, and to minister salvation, deliverance and healing to all in need.

ABOUT STEPHEN B. STEWARD

Stephen Brenard Steward, born and raised in Smithville, Mississippi, began singing in the church choir, worship groups, and bands from elementary through high school. As the gift of writing and singing new songs of worship became evident during college, he realized the Psalmist anointing was on his life. 

After receiving his BA degree in Psychology from Mississippi College,  Stephen moved to California to begin working for the County of Los Angeles and accepted the call of ministry at a pentacostal church in Lynwood, CA, where he served as worship leader for over 18 years.  To enhance his knowledge as a worship leader, he attended Living Waters Worship Institute in Pasadena, CA.  He has conducted several worship workshops and attended numerous Christian artist & songwriter seminars in Caifornia, Colorado, Alabama, and Mississippi.

Stephen is a passionate worshiper who has witnessed the healing power of Praise and Worship.  As a young boy on the family farm in the rural south, he recalls having intimate conversations with the Lord which he attributes to his desire to minister in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.  Still today, he hears the voice of the Lord so clearly, as he works in his vegetable garden, a place where he writes many of his worship songs.  While having more than 200 worship songs accredited to his name, Stephen's music would soon grab the attention of the Gospel Music Association, who describes his music as, "instantly memorable..." and considers the album's single, Sing Alleluia, to be "a great addition to a collection of praise songs."  Stephen's worship album is slated for relelase this summer.  On his upcoming album, slated for release this summer, you will experience fresh, inspiring songs of worship and declaration from the heart of a servant to the heart of a King.


Stephen believes that true worship can flow from the spirit of every believer. The whole heart of the worshiper has to yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit who then ushers the worshiper into that special place called, the presence of God. God's presence is where we all belong and it is Stephen's goal as a Psalmist and songwriter to lead God's people into His presence. It is in His presence where repentance, healing, deliverance, and something special happens!
