  • Civil Rights leader and television host Reverend Al Sharpton’s releases his first book in over 10 years, The Rejected Stone: Al Sharpton and the Path to American Leadership (in stores October 8)

  • In The Rejected Stone, Rev Al Sharpton intimately chronicles his personal evolution from street activist, pulpit provocateur and civil rights leader, to the larger-than-life man he is today.

  • The title The Rejected Stone, is from a passage of scripture found at Luke 20:17 which refers to a stone which was rejected by builders that, in the end, became the chief cornerstone.  Regarding the passage, Reverend Al says, “In the end, that sums up my life’s journey and so many of my people.”

  • With each chapter of The Rejected Stone, Rev Al provides an essential life lesson that readers can adopt to transform their own lives.

  • Reverend Al kicks off his national Book & Lecture Tour this week.  Sharpton's book tour takes him through NY, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, Baltimore, Atlanta, Chicago and Cleveland in the coming weeks.
