GERALD SCOTT’S NEW ALBUM - INCREDIBLE

D.C. Native Readies Music World for Third Jolt of Inspiration

WASHINGTON, June 28, 2012 – Habakkuk Records excitedly announces the completion of Gerald Scott’s third studio album, Incredible, scheduled to arrive in the digital and physical marketplace on Tuesday, July 17.

“This time around, we wanted to do something different from what we’re known for,” said Scott, lead musician and creator of Gerald Scott & Co., and native Washingtonian. “The band and I weren’t afraid to take some musical risks and we worked with new producers to come up with different sounds.” Scott created Gerald Scott & Co. in 2007.

Fans will notice a familiar sound, with a new twist on Incredible, which was originally slated to be the singer’s first mixtape. The 10-song album features the first single “Alright”, “He Rose”, and “Back With You”. “Higher” featuring Levi Stephens, “No Condemnation”, and “Bravery” are re-mastered and re-edited versions of previously released tracks (see full track listing below).

Multi Stellar award winner & Songwriter Jonathan Nelson exclaims, "Gerald Scott is back with another great offering of powerful gospel music! Some great songs will be released on his latest CD. He is a native of the DMV area and I’m PROUD to call him my "lil bro"! Be blessed as you listen!"

"Gerald Scott brings a fresh, young and energetic interpretation to the Sunday morning sound! He cleverly captures the balance of contemporary and traditional gospel while being authentically himself and is definitely one of the best new talents the gospel industry has seen in a while!,” says Jawn Murray, television and radio personality

Scott credits his musical talents to his family lineage; a slue of gospel singers and trained musicians. In 2008, he released his debut album INTRO, which boasted top 40 radio hits “Great is the Lord” and “You Can’t Stop My Praise” featuring Stellar Award winner Isaiah D. Thomas. His sophomore album, Don’t Let Go (2010), featured radio favorite and top 40 hit “Don’t Let Go” and “Glad About It,” an Internet favorite. Scott’s “Alright” track can be heard on the 2012 Got Gospel compilation album, alongside tracks by gospel greats like Marvin Winans, Vickie Winans and Canton Jones. In August, he will join the “Got Gospel Tour” traveling to Baltimore, New Orleans, his hometown of Washington, and a host of other cities
