On May 18 from 10a.m. to noon, Dunamis will perform and participate in a star-studded panel discussion at the I Hear Music In The Air Teen Summit featuring Canton Jones, Ray Bady, Javen and others at the Word of Deliverance Family Life Center, 693 Fresno Road in Forest Park.  From 1:30-2:30 p.m., Dunamis will inspire with his entrepreneurial experiences and speak with youth leaders about key educational, spiritual and business principles at the YMCA Melrose located at 2840 Melrose Avenue.  Later that same day from 5-8 p.m., Dunamis will join Anthony Brown & group therAPy, 21:03, and William Demps among others for a feelgood session of the Urban Soul Cafe at Bentley's Night Club at 11473 Chester Road.

Raised in New York City, Dunamis used to be a fixture in gang life and the drug scene.  Desperate for acceptance and self-worth, Dunamis says, "I was fighting to live and dying to fit in.  Really, I wasn't looking for any other life but one that had me running the streets.  When I got shot in the back, it was the culmination of a lot of wrong things."  To spare others a repeat of his cautionary tale, Dunamis says, “I sculpted my album Silently Loud around reality.  I wanted to speak to the heart of people, talk to young men and women about what they are going through, where they are in their lives today and their plans for the future.” Dunamis goes on to explain, “We all have issues.  It’s about how we deal with them. For me, the truth and the answer is God.”

But, God wasn’t always the solution for Dunamis. Flashback to 1993 while at an upstate NY Christian youth camp that a visiting pastor prophesied a stark crossroads of Heaven or hell to the prodigal son. "It's because of that that I gave my life to Christ, and work so hard now to help young people find their purpose before it’s too late," says Dunamis adding, "I have a heart for youth because so few realize everything they do influences their future -- make a wrong decision and you can be fatally sidetracked.”  For Dunamis, “it’s important that young people commit to excellence in their life, have integrity in their faithwalk, and use their God-given intelligence and power for good."

Dunamis worked with a wealth of talent to craft his upcoming album Silently Loud. The multi-talented artist, songwriter, producer and minister of music collabed with producer Daniel Bishop deftly reworking the classic Gospel song "Our God Is an Awesome God," with an island-inflected, urban R&B and Hip Hop feel making "Awesome God," a must add on every praise playlist.  Additional production on Silently Loud includes the impeccable work of Grammy winner Tyshane (Lecrae, Andy Mineo, Papa San, etc.), Grammy nominee Tommie Walker of TOMMYGUNN1965 (Fred Hammond, Yolanda Adams, Joann Rosario, etc.), Track Major, and Jahrockn, along with artists DChondra, Dorlene Curwin, Chris Belmont and Genisa among others.

Born as Neil Hall, Dunamis was rechristened with the moniker that means “miraculous power or act of power” by a worshipper after the artist gave a particularly transformative performance.  Underscoring his music ministry, the husband and father also created a leadership seminar series at Central Church located in New Jersey. As a rapper, Dunamis has shared the stage with Canton Jones, Papa San, was featured on Dr. Bobby Jones Next Generation, scheduled to perform in Kenya at the Megafest Unplugged concert alongside Byron Cage, Trin-i-tee 5:7, and graced England’s Gospel Chart at No. 6 with one of his previous single “Im Nah Believe Sey," from the album Raggamuffin Hip Hop, Chapter 2.
